Founded in 2015 as part of translational effort by National Institute of Biologics Sciences, Beijing (NIBS). Based on technologies spun-out from laboratories of Professor Wenhui Li and Jianhua Sui. Professor Li was widely credited for the seminal discovery of sodium taurocholate co-transporting polypeptide (NTCP) receptor, essential for hepatitis B infection.
